Seduction from the Latin se-ducere literally means ‘to bring to oneself’, ‘to lead astray’.
Seduction is a process by which one person deliberately or unconsciously induces another, deliberately or unconsciously, into any kind of relationship.
A Soft Seduction is an exhibition born out of a desire to show how much the gallery owner believes unconditionally in the vision of his artists and their urgency to make art. The gallery owner has the great privilege of participating in their gaze, in the intuitions and suggestions that derive from it and that influence the evolution of their research.
Asking 10 of the gallery’s artists to choose a work that could lead us towards their imagery and to relate one of their works to a work by another artist, in an attempt to photograph and restore part of their research, seemed to us to be the most direct way of representing the gallery’s path. Also through a second register of voices that, in an indirect way, have influenced and determined its evolution.
A Soft Seduction is not a statement, it is a mosaic in which each piece calls upon the other, caresses it, amplifies its expressive potential, in a game of references, links, quotations, studies and sensibilities that we continue to explore.Seduction from the Latin se-ducere literally means ‘to bring to oneself’, ‘to lead astray’.
